Counselling that meets you where you are
Life can feel difficult and complex sometimes, and you deserve support and understanding. Whether you're facing specific challenges or simply feeling lost, there's a place here for you to share without judgement.
Hello, I'm Cassie. If you're reading this, you're probably going through a difficult time and looking for support. I want you to know that's completely understandable.
I'm a qualified Counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with individual adults from all walks of life with a diverse range of issues, offering both short-term and long-term counselling depending on what works best for you.
In our sessions, there's no pressure to have everything figured out or to feel a certain way. I'm here to listen without trying to fix you or tell you what you should do. Sometimes, just sharing how you feel or saying something out loud for the first time can make a bigger difference than you might expect.
Whether you need a few sessions to work through something specific or longer-term support is needed, we can work that out together as we go.
Do you overthink everything and always doubt yourself? Feel lonely even when surrounded by others? Are you constantly feeling anxious and in fear of something going wrong? Finding it hard to let go of past experiences, even when you try to move on? Struggling with feelings of low self-worth? Do you find it hard to be present or find joy in life?
People seek counselling for all sorts of reasons - anxiety, depression, relationship problems, major life changes, bereavement, work stress, or simply feeling that something isn't quite right but not knowing what.
If you've been caught in cycles of worry, self-doubt, or feeling disconnected from yourself and others, you're not alone. Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by their thoughts, carrying the weight of past experiences, or struggling to find meaning and contentment in their daily lives. They often describe feeling like they're watching life pass by rather than truly living it.
Sometimes life feels like you're going round in circles. The same problems keep coming up, or you can't seem to stop reacting in unhelpful ways. Talking with someone outside the situation can help you see patterns and think about what you might want to do differently.
Anxiety, sadness, anger, or feeling numb can be overwhelming when you're dealing with them alone. Having somewhere safe to talk about what's really going on can help you understand why you're feeling this way and what might help.
Many people find themselves going through life without truly connecting with their inner world or understanding what drives them. Counselling gives you space that's entirely yours - time to explore your thoughts and feelings, and discover what genuinely matters to you.
Choosing a counsellor you feel comfortable with is incredibly important, as the relationship itself plays a bigger role in the success of therapy than any particular technique or approach.
If you're thinking about counselling, I'd be happy to have a chat with you first. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation where we can talk about what's going on for you and see if working together feels like the right fit.
You can ask any questions you have about counselling or how I work, and get a sense of whether I'm the counsellor for you.
All sessions are currently online or by telephone. I work for clients in the Berkshire area and beyond via Zoom. Contact me to find out more about how online therapy works.
